Achieve a sharp edge and a level-sided cake with ease using these acrylic ganache cake boards.

Perfect for use with ganache and all buttercream (American, Swiss/Italian meringue, cooked, Ermine etc).

These boards are sized half an inch larger so there is no need to trim your cake. For example, an 4 inch cake will use the 4.5 inch cake board, leaving a 5mm gap around the cake to fill with buttercream or ganache. The base cake board (clear) has a centre hole for marking cake boards for dowels. 

Set of 2 Includes:

  • 1 x Clear acrylic base cake board with centre hole
  • 1 x Green acrylic top cake board


How To Use: 

Trace a circle onto baking paper around your green acrylic board and cut slightly inside the circle, using some icing, stick your baking paper to your green acrylic board.

Stick your clear acrylic board to your set up board using icing, line up your cake using the inner circle as a guide. Layer your cake with icing.

Ice the top of your cake and place the green board on top - make sure your boards line up on the sides and the top of your cake is flat using a spirit level.  Freeze your cake for 15 minutes or until your icing is firm.

Spread icing around the sides of your cake using the boards as a guide scrapping off excess icing. Freeze or refrigerate your cake until your icing is set.

Flip your cake upside down and gently remove your base cake board using a sharp knife and stick your cake to your display cake board with icing.

Remove the green board and baking paper, tidy the top of the cake using a flexible scraper.
